The snowbirds and seasonal visitors have nearly all departed. The traffic congestion gone, along with the long waits at restaurants. This leaves a window of opportunity for a relaxing island visit, between now and the end of the school year.
The sea turtle nesting season has just begun and the Snowy Plover hatchlings are running around on the beach.
After a long dry season, the spring rains have begun. This brings those beautiful clouds that enhance our sunrises and sunsets.

Sanibel is shaped like a boomerang and our location is at the southernmost point, so this time of year, there isn't a direct sunrise view. It is still a beautiful sight.
Perhaps if I wish upon a star I could make an extra trip this spring!!! 151 days and counting!!
